Hazel doesn't miss it. Not with the way he pulls his hand from hers right before, already the first sign in his retreat over what she's said. Her immediate reaction is to take it again, but she's a little surprised he held her hand as long as he had already, so her own hands drop idly into her lap. "I know you do," she says quietly; she doesn't really want to let it slide, but she has too much respect for her brother to really push right now. But there's a stubbornness in her eyes all the same, because he deserves more than just 'getting through,' and she believes that implicitly.
