"You don't deserve my guilt," she tells him honestly. For all that Stanton is to her, he messed up. And this isn't some silly thing like forgetting an arbitrary anniversary date or buying the wrong milkshake.
But he'll get her guilt anyway, because she cares. She's always cared, and always will.
Her hand rests lightly on his shoulder, and she tries to not think about the way his hands burn against her. "There is no we'll see. Say it. One dance, or I'll walk away."
