He doesn't shush her, doesn't tell her that it's going to be okay. If she needs to cry, she needs to cry, and he's not going to lie to her. He has no idea if it's going to be okay. He does shift his head, though, brushing his lips over the top of hers. "I'm here," he murmurs. "I will always be here for you, Vanessa."
