It doesn't matter that they're standing right outside of the club or that she can feel Serena probing her mind to see if she's okay or that everyone she goes to school with can practically see her right now, red-eyed and sniffling and latching onto Stanton like he's the last thing tethering her to Earth.

Which is funny, because he's the exact opposite of a tether.
