She's aware of him watching her, and while she can pick the expression as interest, the level of it is a little harder. It had taken her by surprise the first time the man had said he wanted to be a friend, and Natasha supposes she's still not entirely use to the concept.

It'd be easy, she thinks, to slip into a role and play the perfect easy going companion. But Steve doesn't go for easy, and honestly? Natasha finds herself unwilling to insult him by trying anyway.

Maybe she can do friends.

"Right." There's no sign in her voice that she's been thinking of anything except skating. "The trick is, you use one foot to push, and the other one to glide. I'll show you--" She demonstrates, explaining a little more, making extra sure that she says it in the way the little girl can understand, before skating back. "But the main thing to remember is, most people will get out of your way, so don't worry too much if you can't see where you're going. And it doesn't hurt that much when you fall over anywhere, so if that happens, just get back up again."

Her eyes flicker over to Steve, briefly. That's good advice for children, right? Some roles, Natasha is a little rusty on.
