The smirk is evident on her lips now, and she places one hand on her hip as she cocks her head at him. "I like challenges. You trying to dissuade me, it makes me want to do it all the more. But I do appreciate the expert tip."

Her nose wrinkles a bit at the look, but she supposes it could be worse. "I wouldn't always be a dragon." She holds her hands out to him and wiggles her fingers. "I'm still human. I just have a beast beneath the skin. I assume the same could be said of me and being a dragon. Otherwise, all the more reason to hunt me down."

She thinks of the kind of terror and pain she would have caused when she couldn't change back those first few months.

"Besides, could you imagine that sort of pain my body would go through to change?" Belle shudders.
