If she were a girl again, she'd smile. He keeps on coming, for whatever reason, and she's pleased with that.
She's not sure why she's latched on to Derek out of all the werewolves who belatedly arrived in their little sanctuary. He's made it more than clear that he has his own agenda, and isn't interested in playing nice. He's there because he has to be, not because he wants to be.
Maybe Maya can relate to that.
She waits for him to pass under her, go ahead a little. And then she drops to the ground without warning, yowling a little. Not angrily or threatening; she's mostly just making noise to surprise him.
