There's another happy chuff from Maya at her success, although it's lost to a hiss when he tackles her. She hits the ground, doing her best to fend him off without catching him with her claws. It's hard, and she definitely loses power because of it, but she's still only playing. She doesn't actually want to happen.
The sound that comes from her throat then is a new one, at least in the context of this little encounter. Derek gets a real cougar scream and a face full of cat breath as she finally manages to free herself, backing off a little. She's breathing a little harder, but seemingly none the worse for wear. She hisses at him again, lips peeling back, but it's more posturing than anything else. She's actually pretty pleased with how it's turning out.
