[He eyes her, in the cell. He's used to feigning curiosity, pretending interest to throw them off, but he doesn't have to pretend this time. There's just something about this one that's different.

Stupid, he scoffs inwardly, carefully counting cards in his surface thoughts. They're all the same.

And he wants to hurt all of them. This one in particular. That's all] For people who swear to guard the galaxy, you do a pretty shitty job of protecting those you're supposed to protect. [There'd been someone with her, weaker. He'd killed them, as was his wont. They were all susceptible to guilt.]

[soulwound]

[She's quiet, staring down at her hands as she sits in a meditative position. There are a million reasons why she could be in here. Revan, maybe. Or Malak. As far as Revan's gone, Malak's gone further.

Or maybe it's just fun for him, as twisted as the rest of them after the Mandalorian Wars.] Nobody's perfect. [Her voice is a harsh whisper, throat dry.] I did what I could.

[blackandgrey]

It wasn't enough. [He says it casually, stepping closer. That pose irritates him, but he shoves it behind his mental wall. They all start out like this. And they all end up in the same place, too] You Jedi try and try, but you never really succeed.

[He crouches down in front of her, at her eye level. He wants her to see that he's not afraid.] You must be hungry.

[soulwound]

Nothing is ever enough for people who continue to need more. [She says it calmly. For as long as she can manage, she'll keep her cool.] It's not just a Jedi trait.

[He crouches down, and she meets his gaze. She's not afraid either.] Not really.

[blackandgrey]

Yes, it's so selfish of those terrible civilians to want to live their life without fear of being blown up. [He straightens, stands] You didn't do what you could. If you'd done everything you could have, you wouldn't be here. You'd be dead.

[He glances over his shoulder, walking back towards the controls] Give it a few weeks. [I rarely takes that long. But the prospect of being stuck in that cell with nothing but him for company brings them to despair easier, he's noticed. He can't imagine why.]

Civilians, the Republic, the Jedi. You all want different things and demand more once you've gotten them. [Her eyes follow him as he stands.] Like I said, it's not really just a Jedi trait.

[She's not really looking forward to the prospect of spending weeks in here, starving or otherwise. She's quiet for a moment before her lips twist into a wry smile. Unfolding her legs, she stands up.] Who's to say I am not already dead?

[It's not the usual tactic most of these Jedi try, but it's not the first time one of them has taken a different angle. He doesn't let it faze him, thinking a little harder about pazaak]

People who can't give everything shouldn't promise everything.

[That gets a grin out of him. Idly, he reaches towards the controls, gives her a little jolt] This should help.

[She wants to protest, but he's right. Honestly, they had delivered exactly what they had promised. What Revan had promised. they defeated the Mandalorians. But then she had to watch as everyone around her either died or turned their backs on their way of life until she was all that was left.

And she's not even a real Jedi anymore.

The jolt isn't terrible, but it surprises her enough that it gets a small yelp out of her.] There are more deaths than just the physical ones!

[blackandgrey]

[He watches her, grinning a little wider at the yelp. Carefully, he nudges the strength up] Oh, I love this part. Hold on a sec. [He holds up a finger like she's going somewhere, and leaves the torture switch on. Rumaging around under the console, he finds an apple and bits into it. throwing himself into a chair, he kicks his feet up next to the controls.

He speaks around the apple] This is where you try to save me, right?

[soulwound]

[The grin turns her stomach. She's seen a lot of sick things before. She's done a lot of things she isn't proud of. But taking pure pleasure in the idea of hurting another? It's more than she's prepared for. Even Mandalorians have more honor than that.

The strength increases, and she grits her teeth, hoping to hold on as long as she can. It doesn't last for long, her knees going weak as she hisses then screams.] Can you... Can you even be saved?

[blackandgrey]

[Jaq watches her with the air of someone who's not even looking at another human. She's more abstract than that - something for him to hate with all his being, another challenge to overcome. The pain he's causing her is just a tool to aid him in his greater goal.

She screams, and he nudges the intensity way up for a brief second before shutting it off entirely.] That would be telling. [It's always better to watch them come to that realisation]

Stand up.

[soulwound]

[For a brief second, she can't even really think, doubling over so that she's on her hands as well, fingers digging into the floor. And then it's over. All she hears for a moment is the sound of her panting as she tries to catch her breath. She's not going to last long this way.

He orders her to stand up, and she wants to defy him. To stay in this position and anger him enough to just kill her. There's no point to any of this. He's not going to get anything out of her. Except the pleasure of her death.

Licking her lips, she climbs to her feet slowly, raising her head to stare at him.] Did Revan order this? Or did Malak? [Who hates her the most?]

[blackandgrey]

You're not that important [He says it simply, taking another bite of his apple. His feet hit the ground as she stands, and he leans forward, hands hovering over the console like a pianist at his instrument]

We're going to play a game. So long as you stay standing, you get little jolts, like this. [He demostrates.] But if you hit the ground again, you get big ones. [He increases the intensity again with no other warning. It's enough to send someone a lot more robust to their knees] Like that. Hit the sides if you understand.

[The sides of the cell are, of course, designed to shock anyone who tries touching them. And if she doesn't do it, he'll shock her harder until she does. It's about letting them know that they have no escape, that he's in charge of their world and that their world is now that little cell]
