[When Frank was a kid, his mom used to tell him about different fairy tales and myths from around the world - one place of origin was never enough. Some kids grew up on Cinderella and Hercules; Frank grew up on the Faithful Tiger and The Elephant and the Monkey.

Elephants were a special favorite of his mom's, and he thinks that might have been a large part as to why he bonded with Hannibal as well as he did when back at Camp Jupiter, besides the whole not being judged by an elephant thing. It might be why that's the shape he's the most comfortable in, why they're probably his favorite animal.

He misses his mom suddenly. Actually, he misses her all the time, but this is the first time he's had to think about her in awhile, considering the messes him and the others have found themselves in.

Glancing at Hazel next to him on the deck of the Argo II, he smiles.]

Did you know that elephants have paintings sold all the time? [The most random conversation starter, but whatever.] They like to paint.

Gretel | Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters

"Gretel - Gretel. Would you just let me fucking see?" Hansel's voice is half irritation, all concern as he looks at his sister. His amazing, stupid sister, who'd decided that taking a hit for him was a smart decision. He can see the blood oozing through her clothes, sullen, but slow. Logically, he knows she's not in any danger.

But they live in a world of candy houses and flying brooms, so fuck logic. "If you don't let me see to it, I'm going to tie you up and do it anyway."

Hansel's taken enough bad hits before that just this once, he can manage to live without them. "It's not a big fucking deal, Hansel." Gretel pushes his hands away with a huff of irritation before applying pressure to the wound. It hurts, but she's not about to die.

That last part catches her attention, and she gives her brother the flattest of looks. "Yeah, I'd like to see you fucking try."

That sounds like a challenge to him. Gretel can throw him on the ground most of the time, if he's honest, but today isn't looking like a good day for her. Hansel takes flagrant advantage of this when he grabs her and - carefully - throws her to the ground.

There's not actually anything to tie her down with, and maybe he didn't think this one all the way through, but whatever. His hands pin her wrists, although he makes sure not to disturb her wound. "Now will you let me look?"

Gretel is definitely off her game at the moment. There's a throbbing pain in her side - not fatal, but it's definitely going to put her down for a day or two. So when her brother decides today's the day he thinks he can manhandle her, well he's right.

She huffs irritably when her back hits the ground, and despite the pain, she bucks up against him. Hell fucking no. "What the fuck are you going to look with if you have both of your hands pinning me down?"

He just holds her tighter down when she bucks up, not even a little bit fazed. "I'm hoping that my idiot sister will remember she has a fucking brain in her head, and not run off like a child when I let her go. Or do you want this to fester?"

"Fucking hell, Hansel. Fine." She's definitely acting like a child, but it really doesn't seem like a big deal to her, not enough to warrant this kind of damn harassment. In her struggle, though, the bleeding's gotten a bit worse, definitely staining the front of her shirt.
