[When Frank was a kid, his mom used to tell him about different fairy tales and myths from around the world - one place of origin was never enough. Some kids grew up on Cinderella and Hercules; Frank grew up on the Faithful Tiger and The Elephant and the Monkey.
Elephants were a special favorite of his mom's, and he thinks that might have been a large part as to why he bonded with Hannibal as well as he did when back at Camp Jupiter, besides the whole not being judged by an elephant thing. It might be why that's the shape he's the most comfortable in, why they're probably his favorite animal.
He misses his mom suddenly. Actually, he misses her all the time, but this is the first time he's had to think about her in awhile, considering the messes him and the others have found themselves in.
