[ it's been days of absolute boredom, and as Loki sits contained in his cell on this backwater realm, it's something of a relief when he sees new prisoners arriving, dragged in by those cretins. Their apparel screams of Midgard, their age of ignorance. Still. One takes the small joys where one can.

He leans back, making himself more comfortable as he tosses up an apple into the air, catches it, and tosses it back again. The people of Nefandus are ever so cliche with their prisoner's sustenance. He almost expects a pomegranate to arrive for his next meal.

Loki of Asgard leans forward, evaluating the mortals. One is on the ground, laying still. He smiles at her blonde companion:]

On the positive side, she must only be unconscious. I imagine it's quite a waste to imprison the dead.

Johanna has existed in sort of a numb, robotic haze every since it happened.

She'd expected repercussions. But after winning the Games, she'd thought she could handle them. What more could they do to her, right?

A lot more, as it had turned out.

And so she works her way around the Victory Tour, smiling and laughing and acting appropriately solemn at all the right moments and feeling nothing as she does it. Johanna isn't a person anymore; she's just a Victor, a shell for the Capitol to crawl into and walk around in now that they've taken everything from her.

And then she sees him.

It's a total coincidence, some random hallway in her hotel in the Capitol after the parties are over and she can peel off the mask and be empty outside as well as inside. Finnick Odair slides out of a room that she knows isn't his, because the door isn't covered in desperate fanmail. And, abruptly, she knows. Knows that he accepted the deal where she refused it, knows that he gave in, knows that he is theirs now and a crack in the ice inside her appears. Rage fills her stomach, hot and a enough to make her want to vomit.

"You make me sick," she spits at him, every inch of her bristling in a way she hasn't since President Snow had showed her their cold, dead faces.

[ He's not really sure why he thought this would be the best idea for a job to take up, but probably half because all the sign posting jobs were taken, and he has literally nothing to offer as far as blacksmithing or serving or any kind of job that requires and sort of understanding of labor methods. He's been here for a while already, going around to each patch to feed them, and it's sort of become a routine enough that Isaac spaces out for a moment, and one of the roses gets a tooth, or thorn, or whatever, into his actual hand, drawing a long gash across his palm. Immediately, he drops the piece he'd been holding and jerks hs hand back, personality completely snapping from the understated, blankness that it was, to an outburst of shouted cursing, expression twisted with anger and frustration. ]

Shit, you motherfucking cun-- [ He halts mid-word with mouth still open, and the expression drops completely, before his eyebrows knit, and Isaac clears his throat. One hand presses against the cut on his opposite palm, and he glances down at his feet, muttering. ] ...Not cunt.

[ That's the first time he's ever said 'cunt' in his entire life, actually. So no. Definitely not cunt. At least, not coming from him. Maybe from Mitchell White, the civic engineer he spent about the length of a year cerebrally tied to off and on again, but not him. He wonders sometimes, if Mitchell White ended up with any of Isaac's bad habits. Or if he'd even remember losing them in the first place, if he did. He shakes his head, glancing back to the hungry rose bush. ] Nevermind. Sorry.

[ Just going to apologize to the rose buse tbh, don't mind him. And, with calm, detached demeanor back in place, he goes about trying to dig in his messenger bag for something to wrap his hand with. ]
