Derek pauses once Maya takes off, wondering if he should go after her or if he should go on his own way. It's not as though she couldn't take care of herself.

However, he can already see the looks, imagine the harassment, if something were to happen. It doesn't bother him, but this is a small compound and there isn't anywhere far enough to go and get away from it all.

It takes him a few minutes before sighing and walking the way she ran through. It isn't hard; even if he didn't have super senses, she didn't exactly tread lightly on those paws of hers.

Paws that are no longer, he realizes, when he finally finds Maya. That is definitely a naked girl on the ground, passed out. He looks her over for a moment. She's definitely beautiful, less irritating when her mouth is shut, too.

With a sigh, he shrugs off his leather jacket and places it over her.
