In the wards? I was more surprised when there wasn't. [But this isn't the wards-- its a nice place. Low crime rate, beautiful scenery. Part of him wonders if Shepard won't be bored despite it all.]

[Shepard laughs. Some people would find that a little tiring, having to deal with scum and idiots. Alice Shepard? She relishes it all.

The smile slips easily into a smirk as she arches an eyebrow at him. He tries to be smooth, but she's know him way too long by now. Knows him a little too intimately to not notice the way he fumbles a bit.

She leans into him when his arm goes around her waist, shrugging a bit.] Free place to crash when you need it, food, drinks. Me.

[If nothing else, they can always sneak down to the wards for a little fun. And Garrus isn't so much thinking of clubbing.

Normally he'd tease, say something about reviewing his other offers, but she means too much to him. [She does like to have a little bit of fun now and then. Although, clubbing sounds good, too. Shepard likes to dance. And to drink.

Wants them to have... Something they can come back to if they ever felt like staying still for a week or two. Something that's just theirs.]

[Garrus knows this, and also knows just how bad Shepard is at both these things. In fact, she's just about the only dance partner he's ever had who dances so badly, people would rather stare at her than at the seven foot tall scarred turian awkwardly shuffling next to her.

She's also the only dance partner he'll ever want, so it doesn't really matter.

He knows what she's saying, what she's offering. It's probably the seriousness belying the entire conversation that forces him to laugh, in reflex.] Ooh, that's hard. [It's the first - and hopefully only - time she's ever offered to have a place with someone, even if it goes frequently unused. Shepard's just never had the opportunity for that kind of life. It's always been about the Alliance, but they need a break once they defeat the Reapers. Need a chance to have a quiet time.

She snorts at his comment about schooling her, definitely deciding against letting him know that she missed on purpose. Good for him to have that sense of betterment.] You're right. No idea how you're going to make that call, Vakarian, but I'd say to choose wisely.
