[ They'd been making habits of trying to get away from things in Abax and just hang out - Alex out of the x-tower and away from Pyro and Erik and all the annoyances therein and etcetera. It was easy enough for Alex to pick the lock of the VW hippie van and it turned out there were already blankets and things laid down. They'd laid for a long while just idly talking about the city and the people in it, and when random shifting ended up with their hands overlapping, Alex just sort of... stayed that way. Without comment. And might have wound his fingers a little close under the guise of stretching or itching, so they actually had hands half-interlaced. What is social awkwardness.
