Maybe I'll go. [She's quiet for a moment.] Or back to Kashyyyk, maybe. I liked it there. That's where I met your mother. [Her brow furrows for a second, the vague memory of a short young girl telling her off with all the authority of a princess.]

It's probably in better shape now than it had been.

[ And Jaina has a flashback of her fun memories of Kashyyyk:

1. Getting almost eaten by a carnivorous plant...again
2. Dealing with a terrorist group
3. Playing relationship counselor to two love-struck wookiees on opposite sides of the law ]

Kashyyyk is nice. We went there for Lowie, a few years ago.

[ she frowns, that just made things super weird. Jaina snorts away the awkward ]

I'm sure she was in the middle of restructuring wookiee political infrastructure, or something.

[darksiding]

It's where I was born. [To a mother who died early on and a father that Vader killed for no reason other than he was a Jedi. But none of that shows on her face as she watches Jaina and wonder what it is she's thinking.

And then she laughs. Full on laughs.]

Are you kidding me? She was a political prisoner of Vader's, who was trying to force Senator Organa into staying exactly where the Emperor wanted him. Meanwhile, they were shipping the wookiees out, using them as slaves to construct the Death Star.

[She remembers that battle and freeing the caged wookiees. Bringing down the sky hook.

She remembers the wookiee who backed her up on the Death Star and how many of them she saved. How many of them died fighting for freedom.]

[greatone]

[ Jaina bristles a little at the information. ]

And what were you doing, then? Babysitting?

[darksiding]

[Galen shakes her head.]

Tearing down the sky hook.

[greatone]

Is that supposed to be code for something?

[darksiding]

No. The skyhook, it... [Galen moves her hands as she talks, making vague gestures.] It was this structure the Empire was building, to easily contain and ship Wookiee slaves off-planet. To build the Death Star.

god she's such a dick

[greatone]

Oh?

[ she snorts, but there is a tiny, tiny bit of humor leaking into her tone: ]

Well, good job with that. Really made a difference with the Death Star.

[ and her expression softens just a little ]

Though it's good you got the wookiees out.

she's dealt with worse

[darksiding]

[A comment that doesn't seem to bother her in the least. Juno kissed her right before she jumped into the Death Star, she remembers that. And she remembers defeating Vader, defeating the Emperor and sparing his life.

She remembers what it felt like to have a star exploding in her chest.

She takes a deep breath and stares at Jaina.] I died there, saving the lives of leaders of the Rebel Alliance.

[ her mouth twitches into a frown, but as soon as it appears it's gone ]

Rebel leaders like my mother?

can she also cuddle with you - i mean

[darksiding]

[Galen manages to keep a straight face, the douche.]

Your grandfather, actually, and a few other Senators that Vader had kidnapped.

ADORABLE- I mean. WHATEVER B|

[greatone]

You saved Vader? Why?

[A beat.] Well, sort of, yes, but I meant... The Senator. Organa. That one.

[ she feels just a tiny bit of shame at totally forgetting Bail. She had never met him, and Leia hardly ever talked of Alderaan.]

How do you sort of save someone?

[ and Jaina finds a spot on the ground very interesting ]

What was Organa like?

[darksiding]

[She finds something to sit on, stretching her legs out a bit.]

Well, I didn't kill him when we fought. Either time. But I didn't get to do for him what Luke did. [She couldn't free him, even though she wanted to.

Her head tilts a bit.] He was... impressive. Unperturbed. He assessed a situation and understood what it meant and how he could use it to his advantage.

[ she processes the information about Bail. It explains a lot, really. ]

So you know about Luke. What else?

[darksiding]

What else about what? [Honestly, who doesn't know about Luke? She gets bombarded with how wonderful the Jedi Master is at every turn.]

I don't know. Everything. If you haven't realized by now, things have changed since you were around.

[darksiding]

It was a little obvious, considering there's no longer an Empire. [She manages to find that spot on the floor that Jaina was studying.] I don't know. It wasn't like I was involved with the world even then. Everything was my master, and then everything was... [Everything was Juno.]

I like that there are Jedi now. I like that I didn't wipe them all out.

Not enough, but it's something I guess.

[ she looks at her. She knows the answer to the question already but it's the only way she knows how to approach the subject ]

Your Master was Vader?

[darksiding]

[Galen knows that Jaina already knows the answer to this. Most people in the Order did by now, but she nods anyway.]

Him, and the Emperor by extension. But I only met him the one time.

[greatone]

[ she wants to ask what Vader was like, but for some reason that feels disrespectful to ask so soon after finding out about Bail. Instead she leans against her fighter, arms cross casually over her stomach ]

I guess that makes two of us. If we're counting clones. [ a beat ] Emperor clones, that is.

[ she rolls her shoulders, getting the kinks from the hours of mechanical work out of her muscles ]

So what was it that made you stay with Vader? Power? Blood lust? Rewarding severance package?

[darksiding]

[A slight smile tugs at her lips at the clone comment, and she thinks about something that Kota told her.] You know, it was believed that Jedi couldn't be cloned at all. But if anyone was going to continue on, it would be that man.

[Her lips part, and then she pauses. Loyalty is the first thing she can come up with.] He... was the only thing that I knew. [Starkiller, not Galen. No parents, but Vader and PROXY.] I was young when he killed my father, I didn't even remember it until... later. And he took me, he raised me. If you can call torturing a child and shaping them into your personal killing machine "raising". [She says it flatly though, with barely any emotion.]

[greatone]

[ okay she is way too sore to still be standing, so Jaina takes a seat next to Galen. Close enough not to offend, far enough away to not intrude on her personal space. Some lessons from Leia stuck. ]

Sounds like he had you pretty wound up. [ understatement of the year. She frowns, remembering her time with Ta'a Chume on Hapes. ] So what woke you up?

[darksiding]

[She glances at Jaina when she takes a seat, but doesn't say anything. It doesn't bother her.] I spent my entire life wanting to make him proud, to be worthy of being his apprentice. You don't get a lot of goals when you're raised that way.

[A hand comes to her chest.] Well, the lightsaber through the chest was a nice jolt. But mostly... Mostly it was my pilot, Juno.
